About EventSpiration & Yvone M. Kon

Yvone M. Kon has more than 11 years of experience in the event planning, sales and marketing fields. She has formerly worked as an independent sales consultant for a bridal magazine, as well as a bridal consultant at one of the largest bridal apparel stores in the United States. Additionally, she worked as the event planner/marketing director for a historic inn on Mt. Washington for more than three years. Ms. Kon has planned and organized weddings, meetings, parties and events for individuals and companies from all over Western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.

Ms. Kon is currently working as the National Wedding Planning Examiner and the Pittsburgh Event Planning Examiner at Examiner.com, writing articles about planning weddings, parties, corporate events, holidays and making every day life an event to celebrate.  While writing for Examiner, the idea for "EventSpiration" was born. Being limited to short, 200-400 word articles for Examiner, Ms. Kon decided to blog about all the wonderful ideas, products and people in the event and wedding industry she wasn't able to share with her local Examiner articles.  A blog would allow her to be more creative and have more freedom to share her ideas. If you have an idea for a story, or would like to have your business reviewed, please email her.

In her spare time, Ms. Kon enjoys blogging, creating digital art, crafting, reading and spending time with her daughter. She is passionate about animal rescue, advocacy and adoption. She also writes a Pittsburgh Animal Advocacy column for Examiner.com, and spends her time writing her articles with her two rescued dogs at her side. She thinks shelter dogs are the best breed and adopting "used" dogs are always better than buying new.
